The wynn tourney

I just busted in 16th but I don't think I have ever had such a good time playing a tourney in my life. The buy-in was $300+30 and it payed top 9. There were 96 entries. First place was $9700.

The levels were 45 mins long and I think I let myself get way too shortstacked too early. I also didn't push enough. I was very worried because with the blinds about to hit me and I only had 3600, I pushed all-in UTG with J5 sooted. The sb called with AJ but he only had 1500. After that I was worried about pushing with bad hands and getting called.

I folded 55 and A9 2 hands in a row because this rookie player looked like he was going to jump out of his chair. He had AA both hands. I didn't see another ace or pp for nearly 90 minutes.

Feeling committed I called all-in with 83o before the break. I had 300 in and blinds were 300/600. I was sb. I only had 1100 left and just folded 82o in the bb the hand before. The guy had QJ and I fluked and hit an 8.

That got me 4000 but when we came back from break I had the button. Blinds were 400/800 with a 75 ante. There was all-ins every hand on the first pot and beat me to it. In my bb I got 9h10. I had 800 in. Same guy raised to 3200. I only had 2800 left or so. There was now 4600 left that I could win putting in my last 2800. I asked the old man if he had a pp, he said yes. I said to him you are lying for sure. I called, he show QJo again and I. The flop came AK7 making things very bad for me. Turn was a 6 and river 7.

Was a blast though. I played for almost 6 hours and had a great time.

Not sure if I am playing again today. Going for dinner at the bellagio....
