3RD PLACE AGAIN

I have to say the last few weeks have been frustrating from a live play perspective. Sometimes you go card dead and it makes it very difficult to win but I am not sure that has been my problem lately as I have been hitting some nice hands.

Over my past 4 games I have finished 3rd three times and bubbled once. When I bubbled my Aces were cracked to bust me but the last time I came 3rd, I cracked aces to stay alive.

Often when I come 3rd I look back at some of the hands and wonder if I could have misplayed some hands when 3 handed or if I was played too conservative and blinded myself out. In 2 of the games I pushed when I knew I was getting called. Both times there was a strong possiblility I was way ahead but it turned out I was 60/40 in one game and 50/50 in another and I came out on the losing end in both games. The other 3rd place I had about 8 bbs left and pushed on the button with 44 and ran into 88. Usually 3 handed, 44 is likely the best starting hand so this is just the way cards fell.

The point is 3 of my 4 last live showings I have finished 3rd and bubbled the 4th. I was very happy with my play in all 4 showings and really I wouldn't change how I played my final hands in any of them. I have been telling several people the same thing lately. Just be happy with how you play every hand and the wins will come.

I just realized this could be my most boring blog ever. Sorry for that. My online game has been on a terrible run for the last 3-4 days. Again I am playing well but seem to either get bad beated or I lose the races I really need to win.

I am excited for WNP this week!
