April 16th Day 2 begins

Well after finally falling asleep at 7am we were up early this morning to change rooms into a spa suite. We just moved all of our stuff to the new room and Ange is down at the spa. I'm just chilling waiting for Security to come fix our broken safe.

I won't be playing much poker until tonight because we are going to the outlet mall to shop but will put in an hour or two shortly.

I played some horrible hands yesterday. Here are a couple from 1/2.

Mid position raise (good player) to $12, button. (Good player) calls. I have AJo in sb and. I call.

Flop is:

AS8S8C

I lead out and bet $40. Both players call. I put one on the draw and the other on the 8. Either way I'm crushed. The turn is a blank. I check mp bets $45. Button makes it $95. I fold. Mp calls. River is a blank. Check, check. Mp had AQ, button had AK. Crushed.

Another hand was just embaressing bad but I will still write about it. I can't remember the preflop action but there was about $50 in the pot and $12 for to call with 10Jo on the button. I call.

Flop is:

AAQ rainbow. Mp player bets $15 (bad player but didn't know this yet). I flat call planning to make a play on the turn. The turn is J but it also makes 2 hearts on board plus str8 possibilites. He bets $20 now. I only have about $100 left by this point which I didn't keep track of and was a critical mistake. I decide to make my move and I make it $50 more leaving myself with 30. (Dumb). I figured the guy could not call unless he had AK but again in a cash game people don't have to worry about going broke. Also the dumbest thing was, the only thing I can have is AK really that would re-raise him there that he is behind too. AJ,AQ, JJ, QQ all probably still flat call there. I was hoping he had just the Q and I could steal the pot.

He pushed all-in which for him was $40 but for me was only $27 or something. I threw it in to try to hit my 4 outer and the $200 in the pot and it did not work!

The most interesting hand I played all day came when I was down to about $100 in my first cash game (started with $200). I get AS4S in MP and I limp. There are 5 limpers after me. BB who had just sat down and waited an entire orbit for his BB so he didn't have to post raised to $12. UTG called and I could see the other people reaching for the their chips already so I called.

Flop came:

479 rainbow. It checked all the way around. I thought maybe the BB who raised had AA or KK and he was just dumb but to be honest unless I hit a 4 or running spades I was folding. Boom...the turn was a 4. Checks to me. I bet $15 into a $60 pot. I worried about 99 or 77 but then decided I didn't care and I was going broke with this. The button called which made me worry about a boat even more. The BB made it $30. I was thinking yes for sure he has KK, AA and he is an idiot. I'm still worried about the button though. I think for a bit and decide let's gamble. So I pushed all-in for $82 more. The button things forever (phew no boat there) and folds (he told me later he had the other 4). The BB insta calls and I am pissed cuz I am thinking for sure he has 77 or 99. He quickly flips over KSQS for King high drawing dead. Even the dealer was in shock. Anyway a nice $180 pot.

I did play some nice hands later on and to be honest I never really got any great cards all day so being even is ok for me. I had a blast.
