Losing Sucks

Well WNP anniversary game did not go so well for me on Wednesday. I played for 5.5 hours and did not win a penny. I thought I played ok until down to the 6 handed bubble. When it started blinds were 150/300. By the time I busted to burst the bubble blinds were 500/1000. There was only 2 players with an M above 5.

For some reason getting into the cash seemed more important to me than winning and I played like it. Blinds were very big but I played so tight conserving every chip and basically blinding myself out. I missed some key opportunities to steal some pots and did not do enough stack maintenance.

The poker gods were very good to me as I got so many chances during the game to double up with huge hands. I do not think I can make these mistakes again because it feels pretty crappy to worry about the bubble and then bubble. So if you are playing with me again on the bubble look out, because I am not playing the same.

Also I have fixed the link in the playing stats blog. But here is the link repeated:

I've got to agree with you there. You changed your game once we reached 6 players and you probably could have done much better. But hey, you cannot be perfect on all of them and you are still a great player.

Cheers...

Why did you count buy in as a profit ?
$1435 approx
great to see you last night

The net/profit loss column excludes my buy-in which I won back so if I paid $40 to play and I won $280, I put down $240 as my net/profit loss.
