Hitting Cards at WNP

Well after 2 straight games finishing out of the money but making final table in both I finally have something to write about.

I think I have written about this before but I think I have the kind of game that makes it nearly impossible to beat me when I am hitting cards. Last night I hit everything. There was 15 people there and I think I busted at least 10 of them. Here is a synopsis of the big hands:

I have 2800 in chips, foggy raises UTG, I am in the SB with KK. Something made me decide to flat call. The flop came K92 with 2 clubs. I did not have a club. I check raised foggy and built a big pot. The turn was a T and I pushed all-in. Foggy insta called with KT and he was drawing dead. So up to around 6000 now.

I busted a shortstack with 99 vs QT. Then I raised in mp with 9To. The flop came TKT. It was checked to me and I made a near pot size bet and got check raised all-in with someone holding AK.

Onto the final table. On about the 3rd hand. 4 players limped into my BB. Blinds were only 50/100 and at this point I had about 12k. I had AKs so I raised 400 more making it look like I was just trying to steal preflop. The button instacalled. The flop came KK4. I figured he either has a hand to call or he doesn't so I just went all-in which was a huge overbet. He instacalled with K9. And now my stack was around 15k. I think foggy busted as the only person at the final table I did not bust.

I then won a monster pot with J2. At this point I was raising every hand. I completely whiffed the flop but bet it anyway. Someone called and I had nothing but they checked to me on the river. The only way to win a hand with J high is to bet big on the river so that is what I did.

So now up to 17k I raise with K8o. There is only 30k in play and we are 7 handed. Dwayne pushed all-in and Jules pushes over the top. While I am trying to figure out if I have to call, apparently Jules made a comment that she was huge. I missed that comment. In my mind I had to decide if I had about a 25% chance to win. I figured it was pretty close and called getting 4:1. Dwayne turns over QQ and Jules turns over Kk. Puke. The flop comes 3 low cards below my 8. So I need running 8s because my K is dead. The first 8 hit the turn and the river brought another 8.

I busted the bubble with QJ vs J7. My Q high held. So now down to 4. There was UTG raise and the guy had about 2k behind him. I was in BB with 88 and decided to risk it, I pushed and. He called with AA. I hit an 8 to bust him and we were down to 3 handed.

We played 3 handed for quite awhile. The shortstack got really short when blinds hit 200/400. I raised from the button with A9 and he pushed with A6.

Heads up was very solid. I had not played heads up against rainy in about a year. I had a big chiplead but he battled and battled. It ended at the 500/1000 level when he pushed from the button with 66 and it did not improve vs my TT. That was it I won WNP for the 1st time in awhile.

Although it did seem like I kept sucking out, I only had my money in behind twice. But they were huge disgusting suckouts. Every other all-in except for the 99 vs QT, I had my opponent severely dominated. I love playing the bigstack and I think I said last night for every 20 times I play and bust, I would just love one night with a stack.
